Are you ready for today …?

“And so here I am, preaching and writing about things that are way over my head, the inexhaustible riches and generosity of Christ.” Ephesians 3:8 The Message

There’s no end to the love that Jesus has for you. You may point to the end of his life but then something inexhaustible happened: the resurrection and a new life. The full reach of Christ’s love for you and the world you live in is described as inexhaustible .. unsearchable .. and unfathomable. And yet, your life is one of God’s greatest works of grace. Without him you would end up in a “dead-end alley” no matter how good life turned out. Because any life without Christ is a dead-end. And the love that Christ has for you is such that he would walk down the darkest path of your life to rescue you. The love that Jesus brings into you life is transforming. People or things that you once looked down upon become the focus of Christ’s love pouring out of you. You can only stand amazed at the depth of which Jesus makes his love new inside of you. He never tires of making old things new in you. When you stumble .. and you will .. he’s there to pour his love into you. It’s not just any kind of love either. It is love formed on a cross. It’s inexhaustible because He’s always rescuing us from seemingly bottomless pits and sins that seek to drown us in despair and hopelessness. You’ve been called to share this same inexhaustible love with the world you live in .. work in .. and play in. Christ has been loving you for a long time. What He offers you today is His life .. inexhaustible .. unsearchable .. unfathomable .. and intimately abiding in you. In his own words: “Apart from me, you can do nothing.” That’s why the reach of his love is so great and so generous for you today. You don’t know what you are going to face today .. no matter how well you’ve planned or anticipated this day. What Christ has for you is an inexhaustible supply. And He knows exactly where you need his love today. It only takes a moment …

“God rescued us from dead-end alleys and dark dungeons. He’s set us up in the kingdom of the Son he loves so much, the Son who got us out of the pit we were in, got rid of the sins we were doomed to keep repeating.” Colossians 1:13-14 The Message

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
