10 Indefatigable words …

October 10, 2012

“I am my beloved’s, and His desire is for me.” Song of Solomon 7:10 New American Standard

Here is the deepest identity of your life: You belong to The Beloved. Nothing can change that grace-derived truth for your life. The Beloved’s love for you is greater than every failure in your life. His love for you is deeper than every flaw you see in your life. Nothing can ever change that. You are your Beloved’s. Is there any greater identity than this truth for your life. And God …? His whole being and desire is for you today. He just doesn’t want your best. You look in a mirror and what do you see? You see lines and you remember how they etched their path across your face. Not God: He sees the beauty of His desire being made perfect and whole inside of you. These ten words have a way of pressing into the hidden corners of your life. They take root in your heart and begin a miracle. “I AM MY BELOVED’S, AND HIS DESIRE IS FOR ME”. Isn’t this the longing of your spouse? Is there any greater self-image you could write upon your son’s or daughter’s heart? What if you related to everyone in your world out of of this truth today: You are your Beloved’s, and His desire is for you. It wouldn’t matter if you are rushed. It wouldn’t matter if you go unnoticed today. It wouldn’t matter because You are your Beloved’s, and His desire is for you. This is how far Jesus has come to make these words come alive in you. He is the Beloved and His desire is for you. It’s not about how much you’ve missed. It’s about how much more is awaiting you today. Don’t be surprised if you find yourself laughing in one moment and tears of joy in another. When you let yourself believe this truth, everything pales in front of you. Why? Because You are your Beloved’s, and His desire is for you.” You start by praying these 10 words. And you just might find yourself speaking them throughout the day. It only takes a moment …

“We, though, are going to love — love and be loved. First we were loved, now we love. He loved us first.” 1 John 4:19 The Message

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
