“… urging Jews and Gentiles alike to a radical life-change before God and an equally radical trust in our Master Jesus.” Acts 20:21 The Message
How would you spend your life making the life of Christ appealing .. if there were no restraints around your life? You wouldn’t have to worry about what others thought. You wouldn’t have to fear for your livelihood. You wouldn’t have to worry about whether you were doing “enough” for God. The only thing .. the only focus .. the only priority in your life would be telling others about Jesus. Your “telling” would not be limited to words or occupying others time with long drawn out messages. You would be free to talk about the “radical life-change” that God forms in any woman’s or man’s life that trusted in Jesus. How would you spend your time.? With God .. the numbers are not important. The influence or affluence of another person doesn’t draw his attention. He’s not turned away by the turned out. You are his message. Your life .. Your love .. Your willingness to reach out to others with nothing to gain but only to give them a picture of God’s kingdom and a place for them in it. What would it look like in your life today? Underneath .. Inside of .. Over .. and All around your day’s schedule would be this “central” message of Christ: a radical-life .. a radical-love .. and a radical longing to live His life through you. And all the while that you are sharing about His life … this same Jesus is at work in your life. Because He knows the distance between the life you are describing and the unseen life that goes on inside of you. Yet underneath it all is this almost indescribable freedom that Christ gives you to live for Him today. And today….? It only takes a moment ….
“… He had the run of the place for three months, doing his best to make the things of the kingdom of God real and convincing to them.” Acts 19:8 The Message
