A New Beginning …

November 6, 2012

“God, who got you started in this spiritual adventure, shares with us the life of his Son and our Master Jesus. He will never give up on you. Never forget that!” 1Cor. 1:9 The Message

God has been at every beginning in your life. There are some beginnings that you may remember with joy and satisfaction and other beginnings that you would rather forget and never remember again. The first beat of your heart began with God. The first heartbeat of faith began with God’s heart for you. Jesus is God’s beginning for every life that’s given up. God’s heart is filled with a love that never gives up. He’s given you a new life in Christ. You no longer have to rely on the old things of your life to make it work. You really do begin with a fresh start with this Messiah. He is the Lord who will never give up on you. He was not only at the beginning … He is your beginning. It’s his life that gives you a fresh start .. “a clean slate” .. and “a Genesis week from the chaos”. You can look at the outside and think nothing has changed but on the inside where His Spirit has begun a new life … everything has changed. When God says “He will never give up on you”, He will say it over and over and over because this world will try to make you think that God cannot be trusted .. will not remain faithful .. and loves conditionally. If you’re in need of a fresh start … He will never give up on you. If you’ve reached a dead end … He is a fresh start. If life feels old … He is New Life. Why now…? Because it only takes a moment …

” Now we look inside, and what we see is that anyone united with the Messiah gets a fresh start, is created new. The old life is gone, the new life burgeons!” 2Cor. 5:17 The Message

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
