Overflowing …

November 9, 2012

“On the final and climactic day of the Feast, Jesus took his stand. He cried out, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. Rivers of living water will brim and spill out of the depths of anyone who believes in me this way, just as the Scripture says.” John 7:37 The Message

Look what Jesus offers you today: a river of living water that pours and spills out of the depths of your life. He doesn’t say you have to work for it .. earn it as a reward .. or store it up for another day. He is describing His indwelling life .. His Spirit pouring his life through your life. We are so often tempted to work tirelessly .. neglect marriages and families .. friendships .. and even ourselves in the hopes that one day this river of life might pour into my life. Jesus invites you to receive this life-giving river before you’ve expended any effort. This is the life He offers you today. If you’re thirst today .. you can come to him and drink. It’s free and it flows from His life into your life. It waters the driest places in your heart and soul. Jesus says that this living water will spill out and over your life. His supply for you today is fresh. It may seem incredible and even unbelievable because everyone around you is exhausted from trying to find their own sources. Jesus stands in front of your life today and offers you the overflowing water of His life. He’s not offering samples or a limited supply until you’ve proven yourself. He’s offering an endless supply and a never ending replenishment of your life. All of that more to everyone who believes in this One who pours life .. more life .. and even more life into thirsty hearts. What supply is available to you today…? It only takes a moment ..

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
