“You’ll get a brand new name straight from the mouth of God. You’ll be a stunning crown in the palm of God’s hand. No more will anyone call you Ruined. You’ll be called Hephzibah (My Delight), and your land Beulah (Married), Because God delights in you and your land will be like a wedding celebration.” Isaiah 62:1-4 The Message

It’s easy to forget who you are and Who you belong to. The Lord isn’t just trying to “get” you home. He’s doing something in you beyond your wildest imagination. You have a name that will describe your complete life in Christ. Before that, there are days, months, and sometimes years of daily facing the struggles of living in this fallen and falling world. What is ruined will be forgotten. What is shamed will be transformed into Delight. What is alone, forgotten, and neglected will be restored as Married. We often forget that we .. you and me .. are the Lord’s delight. It is the righteousness of Christ that lifts you as you face today. Following Jesus is a continuous journey, day to day, of learning to give thanks in every kind of situation. Some are not pleasant at all. But still, your life is The Lord’s delight and He is indeed delighted to dwell in your life. His love endures forever. His love for you never quits. His faithfulness is beyond measure. Remember who you are: a follower of Jesus Christ, filled with His Spirit, an ambassador of grace, a man or woman whose life reveals the night-and-day-difference of being in Christ or being outside of his saving grace. The world watches and you are made ready for this day. Remember … it only takes a moment …

“Open the gates of righteousness for me, I will enter through them and give thanks to the Lord. This is the gate of The Lord; the righteous will enter through it. I will give thanks to You because You have answered me and have become my salvation.” Psalm 118:19-21 Holman Christian Standard

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
