The Greatest Offer …

February 25, 2013

“Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me, work with me, watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.” Matt. 11:28-30 The Message

It is one of the greatest invitations you’ll ever receive for a new life and a new way to live. Jesus invites you to join Him just as you are: tired .. worn out .. even burned out. His invitation has no hidden strings. He offers you a recovered life .. a rest-filled life .. and an unforced life. He offers you what you long for in the deepest places in your heart: a life that isn’t weighed down by God rules and grace that fits you perfectly. Jesus invites you to find your life in Him: “Walk with me, work with me, and watch how I do it”. Why would you refuse such an invitation? All He asks of you is to come to him. He makes himself completely rejectable so that you can come freely, not forced. His offer is guaranteed by His life. … It only takes a moment …

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
