Complicated and Simple … all-in-one…

March 1, 2013

“I want you woven into a tapestry of love, in touch with everything there is to know of God. Then you will have minds confident and at rest, focused on Christ, God’s great mystery.” Colossians 2:2 The Message

It is so complicated .. Love. It is incredibly simple .. Love. God’s final word on love was His Son. Love had to be seen touching lepers .. helping blind men walk .. breaking a few loaves and fishes into a meal .. helping a heart-wounded woman find true water at a well .. freeing a chained up hill-wanderer .. washing the feet of the one who would betray Him .. and finally loving you enough to defeat the power of everything un-lovable on the cross. It was complicated because sin distorts and bends what is loving. It was simple because Love had no agenda other than finding you. And when THIS kind of love finds you, you are changed, ever so slowly, into someone that can only be explained through Jesus. It is complicatedly simple! He’s never been in a hurry because He knows just how his love has to work in all the unloved and broken places in your heart and life. It’s that simple. God is good. The Gospel is real. His love is life-changing. Where is God weaving in your life? It only takes a moment …

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
