The Sign Over Your Life…

March 7, 2013

“Pilate wrote a sign and had it placed on the cross. It read: JESUS THE NAZARENE .. THE KING OF THE JEWS” Acts 19:19 The Message

This KING touches lepers .. puts his fingers in deaf ears .. uses his spit to open blind eyes .. lets a reputation-ruined woman wash his feet .. washes the feet of the man who would betray him .. and freely surrenders to false charges. His three-year reign was crowned with thorns and nails. His death and resurrection are the center points of our life. It marks everything about who you were .. who you are now .. and the true meaning behind everything you do. Jesus the Nazarene–King of the Jews represents “a far better life” than you could ever live on your own. It’s not a fairy tale. A King gave his life so you could live. He didn’t just die for the best-gifted .. accomplished .. successful .. popular .. and good people. His death defeated armies of sin and announced forgiveness for everyone who trusts in this KING. The power of His life–death–and resurrection is as real and available today as it was two thousand years ago. Every heart that turns to Him finds hope. Every life that trusts Him finds strength. Every sin fears His name. He is the greatest King who ever lived and the greatest King alive today. And He is the One who you can trust for everything in your life today. He only takes a moment …

“Our firm decision is to work from the focused center: One man died for everyone. That puts everyone in the same boat. He included everyone in his death so that everyone could also be included in his life, a resurrection life, a far better life than people ever lived on their own.” 2 Cor. 5:14-15 The Message

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
