Grace Wreck-oncilers…

March 13, 2013

“Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation.” 2 Corinthians 5:18-19 New American Standard

God reconciled your life to Himself through Jesus. All those parts of you that are out of joint .. seemingly beyond repair .. don’t seem to fit .. and you wonder how long you can hold everything together. This same God has given you the “ministry of reconciliation”. He’s given you (Christ-followers) the unique distinction of being reconcilers. You’re qualified because you were once unreconciled with God and maybe others. No one else on earth carries this unique job description. It’s not a one time event. It is a life-long ministry of allowing The Lord to use your life to connect others with Jesus. That’s what ministry is in your life. It begins with God reconciling your life through Christ. As you walk with Jesus you begin to see how spacious and roomy his life really is. It’s through Christ that relationships are made whole and healed. It’s Christ-in-you that reaches across broken places and broken hearts to restore broken relationships .. restore broken things .. and re-create a new life formed with grace. What God has done in you .. He wants to do with you .. and through you. Even better news is that He hasn’t stopped working in you .. deeply .. to connect you intimately with Jesus. And those places in you not quite put together? It only takes a moment …

“So spacious is he, so roomy, that everything of God finds its proper place in him without crowding.” Colossians 1:18 The Message

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
