None compare …

“Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne. Unfailing love and truth walk before you as attendants. Happy are those who hear the joyful call to worship, for they will walk in the light of your presence Lord.” Psalm 89:14-15 New Living Translation

In a world that is constantly changing and redefining what constitutes life, there is this description about God. Righteousness and justice surround God’s presence. That never changes, nor does he redefine who he is to meet everyone’s expectations. Unfailing love not only surrounds God, it is what he is in your life. Jesus said that he was Truth. He defines it in such a way that leaves no doubt. Doubts arise when the way of Truth and the ways of this world lead in different directions. This world’s remedy is to redefine God as evolving with time and circumstances. But Jesus said he was the Way .. the Truth .. and the Life. The only Way to walk in righteousness, justice, unfailing love and truth is through Jesus. For some, this seems narrow and closed-minded. Jesus never tried to force anyone to walk this way. It always was an invitation to join him .. walk with him .. and trust him. (It still is..) He knows just how much you have been influenced by this world and all of its pagan gods. His response was not condemnation but compassion. The battle for your heart and mind is real and often unrelenting. Jesus never abandoned righteousness or justice to win your heart. His life was God’s living, visible declaration of how much he loved you. Your freedom came through spikes. The true definition of who you are is in Christ. There is “none” who can offer or do what Christ has done and is doing in you today. It only takes a moment …

“No pagan god is like you, O Lord. None can do what you do! All the nations you made will come before you Lord; they will praise your holy name. For you are great and perform wonderful deeds. You alone are God.” Psalm 86:8-10 New Living Translation

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
