“So I greet you with the great words, grace and peace!” Galatians 1:4 The Message
You are held together by the life-changing GRACE of Jesus. Grace lets you inhale God’s love without fear of being condemned. And when this GRACE gets inside, you can exhale knowing that He isn’t going to let go or walk away. There was a time when you were outside of this grace. You were held together by you: anything and everything you used to make life work … except it really wasn’t working. Then God opened your heart and mind to receive this grace and now there is nothing that can compare to what Jesus has done to rescue you. GRACE would be enough, but there is that other word: PEACE. You’ve been forgiven. Christ has made peace in your life with God. (Or… God has made peace on your behalf through Christ. You could never have made this kind of peace. All your sins have been forgiven. All of Christ is in you .. living and abiding in you. Christ’s life is your peace and it is His life that reconciles you to others. Do you know a situation where the PEACE of Christ is desperately needed in another person’s life .. or persons? There is no conflict or war inside where the peace of Christ dwells and rules. What kind of rule? GRACE. Not only have you received Christ’s grace and peace in your own life today; you can extend them to others. Will you take a moment to let the words of a former grace-persecutor wash over you? GRACE and PEACE … the gift of Christ’s love and the fullness of His forgiveness are yours today. It only takes a moment…
“We know the meaning of those words because Jesus Christ rescued us from this evil world we’re in by offering himself as a sacrifice for our sins. God’s plan is that we all experience that rescue. Glory to God forever! Oh, yes!” Galatians 1:5 The Message
