Traveling light….

June 7, 2013

“But now you have arrived at your destination. By faith in Christ you are in direct relationship with God. Your baptism in Christ was not just washing you up for a fresh start. It also involved dressing you in an adult wardrobe — Christ’s life, the fulfillment of God’s promise.” Galatians 3:25-27 The Message

One of the great gifts that Jesus brings into your life is arriving right on time … everytime. That’s hard to trust in day to day because our “destinations” vary over days, months, and years. But faith is His gift also … faith in his Son … a faith made alive in Christ’s indwelling life. Today is part of that faith in your life. Will you trust this Son who has given you a fresh start and made you alive? Will you trust him with all that you carry on the inside and sometimes wear on the outside? It is always a big step: Is this Jesus real enough in your life to carry everything? He’s designed you to travel light. It’s His design because it’s His Life that will carry all that is in you. He knows what your life is all about. What Jesus longs for you to know and trust in is what His life is all about … in you. It only takes a moment …

“But when the time arrived that was set by God the Father, God sent his Son, born among us of a woman, born under the conditions of the law so that he might redeem those of us who have been kidnapped by the law.” Galatians 4:4 The Message

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
