“For Christ’s love compels us, since we have reached this conclusion: if One died for all, then all died. And He died for all so that those who live should no longer live for themselves, but for the One who died for them and was raised.” 2Cor. 5:14-15 Holman Christian Standard

What compels you to face this day? Is it the love of Christ or something else that drives you or pulls you along? When the love of Christ becomes the compelling center of your life, everything in you begins to change. You find yourself looking at others differently. Before … You would evaluate and “judge” them on a poisoned paradigm. It was most surely based on the old platform called “the old you”. The old you could only and can only see others through the lens of self. When Christ died .. all that changed for you. His death became your death and his raised life has become your raised-up life. Christ changes you into something entirely new. You may find yourself looking through old lens from time to time, but you’ll grow tired of trying to focus something new out of something old and passing away. You are no longer driving “you”. You are being compelled .. being led … and being made new by the love of Christ. It’s His love that compels you today. If it is not, then stop and make things right. Open your heart .. let go of what is strangling you .. and take hold of Christ. He’s already taken hold of you and He’s not letting go or letting up until you are walking like a new man and new woman. It only takes a moment….

“Therefore if anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation; old things have passed away, and look, new things have come.” 2Cor. 5:17 Holman Christian Standard

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
