Ever wonder what you look like…?

July 3, 2013

“We look at this Son and see the God who cannot be seen. We look at this Son and see God’s original purpose in everything created.” Colossians 1:15 The Message

What do you see…?

You used to be an original mess. No matter how hard you tried to fix it yourself or redecorated the outside of your life … you could not see what God sees. He saw your life as it really was .. and how it really is: restored … whole … standing upright in His presence. It took the Original One to sort out the mess of your life. When you see your life in this Son and His life in you … you’ll begin to see the world you live in as God sees it. You’ll see messed up lives and begin praying for God’s sheer generosity to pour into messed up lives. You’ll begin praying this way because you’re living out of the sheer generosity of what God always wanted to do in you through Jesus. You’re no longer a mess (but you may feel like it and life may look like it. Will you let Jesus open your eyes … to yourself and the world you live in? Is there room in your life to see the Son? What does your Heavenly Father want you to see today? He wants you to see restored masterpieces like yourself. It only takes a moment…

“Out of sheer generosity he put us in right standing with himself. A pure gift. He got us out of the mess we’re in and restored us to where he always wanted us to be. And he did it by means of Jesus Christ.” Romans 3:24 The Message

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
