Clothing is not optional…

July 30, 2013

“For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.” Galatians 3:26-27 New American Standard

The Apostle Paul described himself as “the least of all saints” compelled to share about the “inexhaustible riches and generosity of Christ”. Life is Christ becomes your whole identity. Your old life is taken off and your new life .. your true life .. your whole-accepted-exchanged life is now clothed with Christ. His righteous life decorates your insides. His faithfulness now colors and shapes your outsides. An ancient-future-secured anglican lavished God’s judgment by reminding some Christ Followers that God always judges in relationship. His faithfulness in Christ is “perfect, finished, complete, and yet always renewing”. When Paul wrote the word “sons” he declared that every man and woman in Christ now shared the fully secured and promised life of being fully accepted and made fully alive through Christ. Nothing in this world can take that claim upon your life away. Nothing. All the laws of this land .. All the lies of this age .. and All the evil that claims to be good will one day wither in the presence of Jesus Christ. But your life will stand in his faithfulness. It is His life that you are learning to love .. and it is His love that is restoring .. renewing .. and reclaiming All that Jesus has created in you. He is coming … and until then it only takes a moment…

“…for He is coming to judge the earth. He will judge the world in righteousness, And the peoples in His faithfulness.” Psalm 96:13 New American Standard

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
