“The mystery is that people who have never heard of God and those who have heard of him all their lives (what I’ve been calling outsiders and insiders) stand on the same ground before God. They get the same offer, same help, same promises in Christ Jesus. The Message is accessible and welcoming to everyone, across the board.” Ephesians 3:6-7

Why them .. Why us .. Why you? You share the same offer that Peter, Mary Magdalene, a Tax-Collector-Turned-Gospel writer, a demon possessed man, and a 6 time married woman at a well share: the same offer.. same help .. and same promises of Jesus for your life today. They were no different from you. The same offer of Christ’s help for your life is the same offer that invited a man to walk on water. The same promise given to a soon-to-be-dying thief on a cross is the same promise for your life today. The way for your life with Jesus is clear. You can “walk right up to God”. Why don’t we do it about everything? Because we think our problem .. our need .. or our concern is not good enough to bring right into his presence. Jesus has made your life presentable inside and out. Truthfully, it takes us a long time to really believe He means that for “me”. I can see it for your life, but my life? There’s just so many little things that don’t make me presentable. And Jesus…? He’s right alongside your life today … indwelling your life today .. to fill you with confidence that your whole life is presentable and acceptable with the Father. God always keeps his word. It means He will be faithful in and through your life today. No need to hesitate .. It only takes a moment…

“So, friends, we can now—without hesitation—walk right up to God, into “the Holy Place.” Jesus has cleared the way by the blood of his sacrifice, acting as our priest before God. The “curtain” into God’s presence is his body. So let’s do it—full of belief, confident that we’re presentable inside and out. Let’s keep a firm grip on the promises that keep us going. He always keeps his word.” Hebrews 10:19-23

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
