God’s making a way … and you’re in it

August 22, 2013

“God is here, right here, on his way to put things right and redress all wrongs. He’s on his way! He’ll save you. Blind eyes will be opened, deaf ears unstopped. Lame men and women will leap like deer, the voiceless break out into song. Springs of water will burst out in the wilderness, streams flow in the desert.” Isaiah 35:4-6 The Message

They had been slaves and clung to the hope that the God who split the seas would save them again. They wandered into a promised land and clung to the promise that they were home. They wasted God’s riches over and over and ended up in exile .. seemingly forgotten .. overwhelmed by stronger enemies of lesser gods .. and still they clung on to his ancient promise. And God spoke again .. just as He had before .. and just has He is speaking into your life now. He’s here to put things right. He’s come to save you “in every way you need saving”. If you are in a blind place in your life and can’t see … Jesus will be you eyes. If you can’t hear .. Jesus will be your ears. His Spirit gives sight and sound to lives rob of seeing .. hearing that has been stolen. His promise is for you. You’ leap again. You’ll break out in song. You won’t worry about what others hear or see. You’ll see and you’ll sing. When you think you’ve lost it all … Jesus is the One who promises to be your All. In Christ you find your life possessing what you could never buy. On and on it goes .. this Jesus filling up the places in your life .. breaking the chain of lies that try to blind you from seeing the God who has come. He is the only God who can bring streams in deserts and more importantly cause streams of grace to flow in your heart. He is the One who holds the rivers of grace to wash over you and free you to live in His Presence. He’s here for you today. It only takes a moment …

“You’re blessed when you feel you’ve lost what is most dear to you. Only then can you be embraced by the One most dear to you. You’re blessed when you’re content with just who you are — no more, no less. That’s the moment you find yourselves proud owners of everything that can’t be bought. You’re blessed when you’ve worked up a good appetite for God. He’s food and drink in the best meal you’ll ever eat.” Matt. 5:4-6 The Message

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
