“Unless The Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it…” Psalm 127:1 New American Standard

UNLESS THE LORD .. builds the house .. moves in .. and changes your heart .. your-life will feel empty. You’ll find something to fill it with .. something to keep you busy .. and something that makes you feel that life is worth living. It could be anything or anyone that tries to fill that place that only Jesus has come to fill in your life. Before he was crucified, Jesus cleared out a temple to make room for prayer. His desire is the same in you .. a place inside your life for prayer. You may be cluttered with not-enough-time. You may feel distracted by urgent business. You may have allowed yourself to just remain silent. The grace gift of God is that he really wants to build this space in your life. He really wants you to trust that in his life there is enough room for the worn out places and the hardly used places. Jesus will be your strength .. unless you try to make life work on your own. He’ll make use of everything you bring him. Unless .. you try to hold on to everything. It only takes a moment …

“So spacious is he, so roomy, that everything of God finds its proper place in him without crowding…” Colossians 1:19 The Message

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
