Do you think He really means it …?

“It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery.” Galatians 5:1 New American Standard

You’ve seen it in others before. You know intimately what it feels like in yourself. You even know deep down that it is impossible to escape from it: Sin .. Prison .. Slavery .. Suffocating stress .. Exhaustion .. Paralyzing anxiety .. Unending competition .. and Unrelenting comparisons. You may have other names or images of slavery-yokes in your own life. The life that Jesus has come to give you is incomparable to any life you can create on your own .. even if you had unlimited resources. Christ was born to become everything in you that kept you from becoming everything of Him. He was born to become enslaved so you could be set free. ALL of the righteousness found in Jesus is freely and forever given to you. The Holy Spirit’s interior design masterpiece in your life is freedom. In fact, there is nothing you can do on your own to secure your freedom apart from Christ. Everything of Jesus Christ transforms your life through faith in Him. He became everything in your life that has kept you from knowing the Father’s love. All of Christ’s righteousness has been poured into your life. God’s real freedom for your life is that you might live outwardly everything that He has become inwardly in you … righteously real. It doesn’t happen overnight .. except that it has happened already .. on a cross. It doesn’t happen over increments. You have all the righteousness of Jesus Christ right now. It’s found in every man and woman who follows .. who trusts .. and who believes in this one named Jesus .. who became their sin .. and now live FREE. It only takes a moment …

“For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” 2 Corinthians 5:21 New King James

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
