Rescued and forgiven …

December 13, 2013

“…because Jesus Christ rescued us from this evil world we’re in by offering himself as a sacrifice for our sins. God’s plan is that we all experience that rescue.” Galatians 1:5 The Message

His name means: ‘God saves’. His whole life was aimed at the war inside of your life and the battle lines in this world. Jesus gave his life as the offering for your sins. His birth signalled that God was stepping into your world. His life was born to be a sacrifice. It seems strange that his life was ended so that your life might be rescued. He was God and yet the only was for you to be forgiven by his death. He is God and the only way for you to live is by His life. The only way you’ll ever live is to discover that Jesus has rescued out of the evil that surrounds your life. A forgiven life is the greatest gift for living in this world today. Because when you know the gift of this Lamb’s forgiveness, you are free to serve others .. free to give it away .. and free to share it with others who live entrapped .. who live unforgiven .. and who approach life without love. Jesus has rescued you so that you can live for Him today. If you are going to live for Him, you have to make room for Him to move in and make your life whole. It only takes a moment …

“Here he is, God’s Passover Lamb! He forgives the sins of the world!” John 1:29 The Message

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
