Just a few things …

“If I regard wickedness in my heart, The Lord will not hear.” Psalm 66:18 New American Standard

Jesus prayed for every single cell .. every inch .. and for every mile of your heart. Things get stored in your heart. Things no one else sees but God. You can cover over hurt .. anger .. disappointment .. frustrations .. resentment .. fear .. and unforgiveness. And the real things that get stored in your heart are the very things that Jesus prayed for in your life. In fact, Jesus became the very prey for your heart. He became all the wickedness that was you .. so you could become “one heart and mind” with the Father and Son. There is a lot of work that goes on inside of you for that to happen. You see or rather get a glimpse of what “wickedness” looks like in your heart. It is never pretty and it more often than not happens around those you love. That’s why “things” get stored so deep in your heart. You don’t really want to see them at first because you realize at that moment how powerless you really are without Christ .. and how powerful He really is .. and will be in you .. and for you .. if you’ll simply open your heart and let Him answer His prayer for you. God isn’t waiting for you to do the work. He already knows how powerless you are and how powerful wickedness really is. This is why Jesus is the gift for your life today. An old hymn says “one little word shall fell him”(wickedness). Jesus is that Word for your life. His grace will sustain you today. His grace will give you the “Grace” you need today to deal with all those “things” in your heart. And Jesus? He’s already prayed about all those “things” in your life .. and He wants to be the One-Thing that fills you with hope .. strength .. peace .. life .. and the only health that can come from God. it only takes a moment …

“The goal is for all of them to become one heart and mind– Just as you Father, are in me and I in you, so that they might be one heart and mind with us.” John 17:21 The Message

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
