The Promise of a healed land … and you

April 3, 2014

“And my people who are called by my name humble themselves and pray, and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14 New American Standard

God has never been vague about his promise: the promise of who he IS .. the promise of what He will DO .. and the promise of what you will BE. Your life is part of this history .. God’s history. When you are a follower of Christ .. a men and women of “My Name” .. You are given this incredible gift to enter into God’s restoring work. You humble yourself by just coming to The Lord just as you are .. no pretense .. no excuses .. and no one else to blame. You seek his face by turning your life to the Only One .. the Only Thing .. Only Way left with hope. You probably don’t see much wickedness in your life because you (and we) become desensitized and distracted by the wicked things that God sees in our lives everyday. But when we turn with all our hearts .. He hears .. forgives .. and heals. Notice what He heals .. God promises to heal our land. Can you imagine and envision the land around your life healed? Is it worth your bringing your whole life and placing it before The Lord? Jesus has made it a little easier: He has the nail scars of your humility .. your prayer .. your forgiveness. The Cross declares the first piece of land healed by God. And your part today? It only takes a moment …

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
