Homemade bread … living recipes

April 11, 2014

“Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; he who comes to Me will not hunger, and he who believes in me will never thirst.” John 6:35 New American Standard

He was serious about his offer. Jesus describes who he is .. bread .. and what will happen if you eat and believe .. you will live. Have you ever offered your life to someone so completely? You didn’t hold anything back? In fact, you promised that your life would make someone else whole inside and out? What happened then is what happens today. Some believed and lived .. and some walked away not believing. If you believe .. your life is now a forever life. It still took a cross for you to believe. The offer was real. The words are true. You share the same life with the man or woman who heard that offer two thousand years ago. Today in your life is part of your forever life. You didn’t earn it. You believed the living words that became the living meal that made your life real. The only explanation of your life is and will be Jesus Christ. Today counts … it only takes a moment …

“I am the Bread – living Bread! – who came down out of heaven. Anyone who eats this Bread will live – and forever! The Bread that I present to the world so that it can eat and live is myself, this flesh-and-blood self.” John 6:51 The Message

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
