“Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him. For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.” Romans 5:9-10 New American Standard

God’s design for your life is “much more”. It’s not the much more you envision. It’s the “much more” of His Son’s life indwelling in you. The Son has reconciled you to God with his life. There is nothing between God and you. But that in itself is not the “much more”. Jesus is saving your life with His life. You are alive with his Spirit to live a kingdom life in an ever increasingly scared world. Uncertainty is in every corner of life. But your life isn’t tied to all the lies and deceit of this world. You’re free to live for Christ and make him known in the fear filled corners where Jesus has called you to live. You are not your own. As Jesus said, “You did not choose me, but I have chosen you to bear much fruit … fruit that will last. Are you being extravagant in loving others. Not just loving when it is convenient, but loving as you see need? He’s saving you to be a light of hope .. a light of grace .. and a light of freedom found only in Christ. Only Christ can change a
life and fill it with “much more”. That “much more” is yours in Christ … and it only takes a moment …

“The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9 New American Standard

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
