Called for real …

“.. called as saints .. You are who you are through this gift and call of Jesus Christ” Romans 1:7 New American Standard and The Message

No one is ever comfortable being called a “saint”. It is an image of being beyond good .. perfect .. doing everything right .. right on time .. and not thinking ill of anyone at anytime. It’s not a title. You don’t earn it. It is who you are in Christ. His life turns your life holy. How could this possibly be? You are more than aware of shortcomings and flaws. But what has happened to you and in you is God’s plan .. a plan you believed .. a plan you trusted. God’s Message is that your life becomes sinner-called-saint through Jesus. It’s not just that simple. It’s just simply true. God’s righteousness transferred irrevocably upon your life changes you into a saint. You’ll never be comfortable in the role. But called you are to represent Christ and his kingdom in everything you do .. anywhere you go. Not everyone will be rescued. That makes you part of the rescue plan. It’s the same plan that saved you. It’s the same message you carry into this only takes a moment …

“this extraordinary Message of God’s powerful plan to rescue everyone who trusts him.” Romans 1:17 The Message

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
