A Declared Life …

June 12, 2014

“..who was declared the Son of God with power by the resurrection from the dead.” Romans 1:4 New American Standard

The great external fact of the internal reality of your life is summed up in this Son of God: “with power by the resurrection from the dead.” When Christ took hold of your life .. he took hold of you with the same power that took him out of his grave. As his life has been declared .. so has yours. When you turned your life over to this Son .. when you believed .. when you placed your trust in His life instead of your abilities .. and when you staked everything of who you are and what you will become on this Son .. you gave Him the real estate of your life to reveal the inexhaustible riches and generosity of his grace. The Cross is real .. 2000 years later real. His grave is empty .. 2000 years empty. His risen life rescues .. delivers .. forgives .. restores .. frees .. reconciles .. and loves deeper than any power on earth. Your faith presses on because Jesus has taken hold of you and He isn’t letting go. The world and everything that stands against this Son will assault every corner of your life. No matter what happens externally .. the internal reality of your life in Christ cannot be breached. This day is before you .. press on in His strength .. press on in His grip .. press into His resurrection power. It only takes a moment …

“..but I press on so that I may lay hold of that for which I was laid hold of by Christ Jesus.” Philippians 3:12 New American Standard

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
