“..He laid aside his outer garments, and taking a towel, tied it around his waist. The. He poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples’ feet and to wipe them with the towel that was wrapped around him.” John 13:4-5 English Standard

It took the resurrection to change your life into a foot-washer. You might do it once or twice but for a whole life be identified as a foot-washer? Who would want such an identity? Apparently Jesus promoted his disciples and you to a life of basin filling and towel wrapping love. It took a resurrection to make it a reality in your heart .. and into your life. Jesus forever defined your daily job description: believing His words and becoming his hands for others. It doesn’t matter if you are out-going or inner-protecting. Washing feet is about serving and Jesus started it off by becoming the lowest of servants. Of course now, His Holy Spirit washes your conscience and purifies your heart. And He is shaping your life to look just like His. Is there room in your life to stop and wash feet? Is there room to serve? Can Jesus call on you today to be His hands? It only takes a moment …

“For I have given you an example, that you also should do just as I have done to you.” John 13:18 English Standard

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
