Room by room ….

“Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.” Ephesians 4:32 English Standard

There is an epidemic in our land: Un-forgiveness. You can see it on faces everyday. You can’t avoid it. You can find yourself at the intersection of forgiveness and un-forgiveness in an instant. It will surprise you at how long it’s laid dormant. It’s transferred by every known communicable agency. People who have it can function .. even succeed .. but walk around dead on the inside. It’s easily passed on to children and friends alike. Churches aren’t immune from it. Even businesses are affected by it. And yet, you can find a cure for it everyday .. at any moment .. toward anyone. At first the Cure seems bitter and too simplistic: “As God in Christ forgave you”. You can’t go around it. It has to pass through you. It is instant and time-released in the same moment. The same forgiveness you received in Christ is now deposited in you .. to be given just as freely as you received. That means the same power working in you will work through you with another person. And it is contagious. Instead of walking around dead .. you’ll find life freer inside and out. Try it … it comes with a cross-backed guarantee. He won’t let go …

“I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.” Matthew 11:30 The Message

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
