“The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me, your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever.” Psalm 138:8 English Standard
Here is the promise over your life as this day begins. “The Lord will fulfill” what he has planned , for your life. When Christ moved into your life .. His Spirit took up residence. His constant activity and power are at work in you to bring all the parts of your life together in His name. God isn’t going to turn away from what is going in your life. He wants you to live in .. rest in .. walk with the “hope of his calling”. That means that “hope” is over everything you are doing .. everything you are involved with .. and everyone in your life. Paul’s prayer is that you would “know” the hope of God’s calling in your life. What difference would this make? Everything around you is conspiring to keep you from living in the hope you have in Christ. It may be family circumstances .. personal challenges .. temptations” .. controlling habits .. or just neglect of God’s personal direction in your life. No matter what you are facing .. this promise belongs to you as a follower of Christ. Hope is filled with promises anchored in God’s character. Why would you hope in anything not anchored on Christ who really wants you to know the hope of his calling in your life. It only takes a moment .. and He won’t let go ..
“I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know the hope of his calling, what are the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, and what is the surpassing greatness of his power toward us who believe.” Ephesians 1:18-19 New American Standard
