Waiting on God or leaving in the moment.

“Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.” Romans 5:1-2 English Standard

December 9, 2014

The good news had been announced by angels. God announced that peace was coming to this earth. We just never imagined that our peace was negotiated on a cross. The only peace we have is through our Lord Jesus Christ. It’s through Him .. and now he loves through you. His grace gives you access .. to a God who never sleeps .. and never stops loving you .. and will never leave you. If you were to describe your faith … rarely .. maybe never. .. have you used the words “imperishable — undefiled– and unfading” to describe your life? But this is exactly how Christ lives in you by faith. There is no power that can snatch you from his hands. There are no circumstances that can take way your access. You can run to God .. run to Jesus at any moment and the doors are flung open for every concern .. burden, fear .. longing .. and need. In Christ: You stand freely in God’s presence .. free from blame .. free from every lie that suggests God is not for you .. and ever lie that suggests yup will never be good enough. Christ has not only made peace .. Christ is your good-enough. He doesn’t produce miniature versions of himself all perfect. He moves in with all his perfection .. cross perfected .. and begins to shape your life along the lines of His Son. All in His time….

“..to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefined, and unfading, kept in Heaven for you, who by God’s power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.” 1Peter 1:4-5 English Standard.

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
