God’s Peace… a promise made….

“People with their minds set on you, you keep completely whole.” Isaiah 26:3 The Message

How much will your day be affected by letting the “peace of Christ rule” in your heart? It doesn’t matter if the world around you is peace-less … what about you? Will you let the peace of Christ “rule” in your heart today? It doesn’t matter how others respond to you .. or even if they notice you at all. Will you live towards them with a peace ruled heart? You aren’t calling attention to yourself by letting Christ’s peace rule you. It will mean an extra moment talking to someone who has no one else to talk to but you. Why? Because the peace of Christ is ruling your heart and they want to be ruled by such a peace. The peace of Christ makes you whole. It fills in all the gaps. It doesn’t change your life … it changes you as you live life in Christ. And Christ changes you as He lives His life through you. You find yourself stopping and thankfulness beginning at just those places in you where Christ has moved in. He rules with grace .. The only ruler whoever pursued his followers by conquering them in love. And Jesus simply says “follow me” and you’ll be fishers of men”. It only takes a moment .. and He won’t let go …

“And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful.” Colossians 3:15 English Standard

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
