It Makes You Wonder …

December 12, 2014

“And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:7 New American Standard

A long time ago God told some slaves turned into priests to bless other slaves turned into “God’s Own Possession” : “The Lord bless you and keep you. The Lord make his face shine on you, and be gracious to you. The Lord lift up his countenance on you and give you peace.” They heard that blessing over and over until it was part of their everyday lives. The God who called them was blessing .. keeping .. face-shining .. grace-giving .. and peace-guiding their lives forever. They wandered in the desert .. wandered in a Promised Land .. wandered in exile .. and wondered when this God was going to save them. So, he blessed them by becoming everything he said he would do for them. His name was ‘God Saves’ and he still finds Wanderers and Wonderers. And he still blesses .. keeps .. shines .. graces .. and guards you in his peace. ‘God Saves’ now lives in all who are tired of wandering. Jesus becomes the source of all your wonder. And your life finds “everything coming together for good” .. “in Christ Jesus”. Will you trust him today? It only takes a moment .. and He won’t let go..

” Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life.” Philippians 4:7 The Message

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
