“I am the good shepherd. I know My own sheep, and they know Me, as the Father knows Me, and I know the Father. I lay down My life for the sheep.” John 10:14-15 HCS
Jesus knows you. He knows the sound of your voice and the everyday pattern of your feet. A shepherd was considered “as not as good” as other professions. They had to stay alert for predators and disease. There is no confusion about who are His sheep and what they’re doing. We were created to respond to His voice. So we come bruised and healthy. We bring those gifts and lay them at His feet. Regardless of this act of worship, The Lord takes great joy in finding strays. His words keep them (us). And you have His promise, that nothing can escape His hand. Is there anything blocking your view? The Good Shepherd will lay his life down, just to get you back. It only takes a moment….
“See, the Lord God comes with strength, and His power establishes His rule. His reward is with Him, and His gifts accompany Him. He protects His flock like a shepherd. He gathers the lambs in His arms and carries them in the fold of His garment. He gently leads those that are nursing.” Isaiah 40:10-11 HCS
