Good news .. and it concerns you

December 16, 2015

“But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people; for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.” Luke 2:10-11 NAS

The foundation of your life is built upon good news .. life changing news .. and life shaping news. Christ was born to redeem your life out of life controlling habits .. self addicting patterns .. and lies that promoted self independence. Every day is a day of good news and you are it’s messenger. That good news doesn’t change with circumstances. It is good news to the hurting. It is good news to broken lives. It is good news to lonely and unloved. And you are Christ’s messenger. It doesn’t mean your own life is always in perfect working order. It just means that the good news that claimed your life is good news when life doesn’t feel so good. It’s good news in every season of your life. Christ gave Himself for your life. There isn’t a middle ground of partial life in this world and partial life in Christ. Christ is your life. And He will day by day, month by month, and year by year work in your life until you know the freedom and fulness of living your life in Him. The good news of Christ, the Lord, has come into your life .. and by faith you are changed into a messenger of this same Good News. It only takes a moment …

“Who gave Himself for us to redeem us from every lawless deed, and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession, zealous for good deeds.” Titus 2:14 NAS

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
