About that expense account…

“to open their eyes so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the dominion of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who have been sanctified by faith in Me.” Acts 26:18 NASB

God’s pretty serious when it comes to absolutely destroying evil and darkness. It’s easy to become casual or indifferent  because it doesn’t affect you personally or those you love. But when it does, you realize what kind of power it takes to open blind eyes .. break Satan’s grip .. and wash over someone’s life with forgiveness. Why does He do it? Because He is “rich in mercy”. It’s not a mercy that overlooks. It is a mercy that chases after you .. finds you .. breathes life back into your dead heart .. dead mind .. and dead life. The sobering truth is that you have been made alive with Christ because God loves to extravagantly spend .. lavishly waste .. and outrageously forgive everything about you that would keep you in darkness .. feeling beyond the reach of forgiveness .. outside of grace. And what does He do about it? He calls you to walk into those very places in other’s lives and lavishly give what has been poured into your life. Your life becomes a message of grace and it is to be an eternally infectious disease of life changing love. Grace has a name … yours-made-alive-with-Christ. Are you willing to spend your inheritance on someone else today? It could change everything about them … and it only takes a moment …

“But God being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved)…” Ephesians 2:4-5 NASB

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
