A Wide-Open Door for you..

February 1, 2016

“Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me – watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.” Matt. 11:28-30 MSG

If ever you wondered what God’s heart looks like on the inside .. here it is. He has thrown the door open for you to come back home .. to find your life .. to find the life He has for you. And to remove any obstacle .. any fears .. any apprehensions .. any doubts about how the Lord feels about you: “Come to Me”. He wants you by His side. He’s not holding back. He’s offering you an inside look at His heart. He already knows “all those times” you wanted to turn back and didn’t because you didn’t have anything .. you were too worn out .. to ashamed .. too tired .. too loaded down with burdens, cares, and anxieties. So, Jesus has thrown open the door for you. Come thirsty .. come broken .. come lifeless .. come to “Me”. He just wants you by His side and He’ll show you everything you need to live a life of grace. You’ll never find it out there without Him. It doesn’t exist. What the world offers always costs more than you have and always delivers less than you desire. But Jesus .. He offers you everything about His life for free. And just to lay your fears aside: “Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.” The doors are wide open and He has already told you what is on the other side waiting for you. It only takes a moment …

“Hey there! All who are thirsty, come to the water! Are you penniless? Come anyway – buy and eat! Come, buy your drinks, buy wine and milk. Buy without money – everything’s free! Isaiah 55:1 MSG

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
