What if …?

February 2, 2016

“I’ve tried everything and nothing helps. I’m at the end of my rope. Is there no one who can do anything for me? Isn’t that the real question?” Romans 7:24 The Message

What if there was no one else to help you with your problems … your struggles … your battles … and your fears?  You, and you alone,  were the primary source to answer your problems .. questions .. and the list of uncertainties?  What if you had to live under the brutal tyranny of sin …  contaminated relationships … contaminated motives … contaminated efforts … contaminated intentions … contaminated results .. contaminated outcome? But… there is Some-One at the “end-of-your-rope”. The Spirit of Christ, his new life, and His indwelling power is your new life.  Your real life in Christ has been freed from living under … controlled by … and contaminated by the power of sin. Sin is real … period! Sin likes to distort and cause you to disbelieve that Jesus is on your side. He’s not just around your life when everything is going well. He’s there when you feel like life is going to cave in or everything is going to be lost. The truth is, Jesus isn’t trying to make your life better by giving you more stuff. His promise and longing is for the real stuff of your life to be seen and shared as originating through His life .. now living in your. Jesus came for your sin and He left carrying anything and everything that keeps  you from trying to find life out of “brutal tyranny.”  His name is real and He is your help … “at the end of your rope” … clearing the air of sin’s polluting power over your life. It only takes a moment to walk into this day in the freedom of Christ. It only a takes a moment …

“A new power is in operation. The Spirit of life in Christ, like a strong wind, has magnificently cleared the air, freeing you from a fated lifetime of brutal tyranny at the hands of sin and death.” Romans 8:2 The Message

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
