What is central in your life?

February 3, 2016

“Indeed, I have been crucified with Christ. My ego is no longer central. It is no longer important that I appear righteous before you or have your good opinion, and I am no longer driven to impress God. Christ lives in me…” Galatians 2:20– The Message

You no longer have to live life on your terms. Jesus promises to be your life … real life …  with a real love … really living in you! You no longer have to lived chained to your ego: worried about what others think of you .. or constantly carrying around the weight of your own expectations. You no longer have to live a driven life trying to win God’s acceptance. There is such a freedom available in your life when you trust in and rest in the truth that it is Christ who lives in you. Faith is not you trying harder but letting Jesus have everything that is wrong about you and you receiving everything that is right about Jesus in your life. That’s when you begin living. You no longer have to live as if part of you is choking from self-righteousness. The pressure is off .. crucified ..  and you are loved in the worst places of your life. You can stop at any moment and just breathe in the life and love that Jesus has for you right now … not later … not after you’ve tried your best … not after you’ve run dry … but … right now. He is your real life. His life is what you’ve been looking for: loved by the Son of God. He gave His life for you. That won’t mean anything if you think you’re life is worth nothing. Your life was worth Jesus dying for .. exchanging .. and giving you a hope for the future.  Real love to face real problems… real struggles … and real challenges. Where will you put your hope today? Who are you going to trust: yourself or Jesus? Whose terms are you going to live on today? It only takes a moment …

“… The life you see me living is not “mine,” but it is lived by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me, I am not going to go back on that.” Galatians 2:20 The Message

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
