“And not only that, but God himself is right alongside to keep you steady and on track until things are all wrapped up by Jesus. God, who got you started in this spiritual adventure, shares with us the life of his Son and our Master, Jesus. He will never give up on you. Never forget that.” 1 Corinthians. 1:8-9 MSG
A quick glance in the Bible and you will find God described as: “Unchangeable, Eternal, Omnipresent(space), Spirit, Light, Omniscient(knows everything), Wise, Truthful, Good, Love, Holy, Righteousness, Jealous, Wrathful, Omnipotent (All powerful), and Merciful.” The list is much longer of who God is, but you begin to grasp just who it is that has sought out your life .. cleaned you up on the inside .. holds you all together .. speaks his saving-redeeming-forgiving love into every area of your life .. will never give up on you .. is working in your life at this moment .. invites you to trust in His Son .. and promises to help you learn to love the life He is living in you. To those who won’t believe such a God, it seems like make-believe and grasping at straws. But to the ones who have reached the end of themselves .. are worn out from trying to make life work .. and wonder if there is something more .. something more real than all the sin-contaminated trails they’ve tried previously .. they find Jesus walking alongside them. He was there long before they could ever see. His mercy extends to the farthest points of your life. There is no sin that His Son has not covered on the cross. There is only the Father’s announcement of your blamelessness. Blameless … that is your new life .. forever life .. and real life in His Son. You have God’s promise through His Son: “He will never give up on you.” It only takes a moment …
“Let me put this question to you: How did your new life begin? Was it by working your heads off to please God? Or was it by responding to God’s Message to you? Are you going to continue this craziness? For only crazy people would think they could complete by their own efforts what was begun by God.” Galatians 3:2-3 MSG
