Only …

.. and there’ll be no limits to the wholeness he brings.” Is. 9:6 MSG

Only Jesus really knows what your life would be without Him and what your life really is with Him. Only Jesus knows what wholeness looks like in you. And only Jesus has the  inexhaustible grace that it takes to bring together your past and present life so that you can see this new land you’re living in. Without Him .. you are left to patch and veneer your life with only the stuff of this world. It takes constant attention and ever-draining resources to just keep up. Eventually you settle for mere images and surround yourself with layers of labels that fade over time. His birth announced what every un-whole life longed for .. waited for .. and now realizes in faith: wholeness was born limitless. Death brought not the end of wholeness but the end your broken efforts to make life work. His resurrection announces that your life has a new address: a grace-sovereign country. Christ is the only one who can claim such a promise for your life today. He’s offering you a “raised up” life filled with light where darkness and shadows once hid. There is no one like this Jesus.  And your life is to be an  unfolding story of God’s wholeness. It makes you a ‘dangerous wonder’  in the world you live in. It isn’t a story you force on anyone around you. It is a story of unstoppable love flowing in and out of you. Is there Anyone else who can do this …? It only takes a moment …

“That’s what baptism into the life of Jesus means. When we are lowered into the water, it is like the burial of Jesus; when we are raised up out of the water, it is like the resurrection of Jesus. Each of us is raised into a light-filled world by our Father so that we can see where we’re going in our new grace-sovereign country.” Romans 6:3-5 MSG

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
