Just starting ..

“They defeated him through the blood of the Lamb and the bold word of their witness. They weren’t in love with themselves; they were willing to die for Christ.” Rev. 12:11 MSG

The battle is real. You see it at work. You see it in raising children. You see in your marriage. It’s not everyday and it doesn’t happen to every follower of Jesus in the same fashion or form. God tells us about another battle that is coming. The odds may seem overwhelming but you’re covered on two fronts. The cross is where the blood of Jesus: the once-for-all .. one-time  .. perfect sacrifice happened with His blood. When this became real in your life .. your words .. your witness .. and your everyday story of living for Christ became a weapon defeating  evil in all it’s forms. It’s easy to think what good is my life against some cosmic heavenly battle? Apparently God thinks it so important what your life is about everyday, that He has assigned the personal word and witness of your life as a partner with the blood of Jesus. If you think what difference does my life make in God’s grand design: it makes everything. You can’t stay in the shadows. Who you are must come into the Light of Christ. You may think that your story is no that special … ordinary .. or even too outrageous to make a difference. You’re just thankful to be going home. That is good .. but the Lord has planned something more. He wants your life personally and forever connected to His life. It’s His blood that makes you clean on the inside. You don’t have to go looking for a title or position. The life you have in Christ is not focused on you. It’s a life of living and dynamic witness , creative and responsive .. willing for Christ to be seen and heard in your life . willing to be rejected .. willing to listen. And today .. as you go out .. it only takes a moment .. to remember who you are and worship who He has promised to be.

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
