Space worth saving …

March 21, 2016

“God can do anything, you know — far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us. Glory to God in the church! Glory to God in the Messiah, in Jesus! Glory down all the generations! Glory through all millennia! Oh, yes! Ephesians 3:20-21 MSG

Jesus has come to make real in you .. all that He became for you. There is that space in every man and woman where your faith in Jesus and His life in you are joined by something stronger than your strength .. stronger than your ability to hold it all together .. and stronger than all your best intentions and purest motives. Jesus not only moves into your life .. He makes room for his love to reach the deepest hurts in your life .. the hideouts and  memories .. to cross the widest breaches of sin .. and to hold onto you with an unbreakable love. In fact, the truth is even more powerful: His love raises  you up to live a life sustained by his Spirit. There is nothing that compares to the love of Christ. God hasn’t missed or overlooked one moment of your life. Disappointments .. dreams .. successes .. failures .. hurts .. scarred over wounds .. closed heart .. stubbornness .. self-focus .. trying .. trying harder .. trying even harder. He hasn’t missed anything. And He still wanted to move in and set up His home .. His operation center in your heart and mind. It’s His Spirit working “deeply and gently” within you today. The world paints Jesus as less than He is and more of what He has never been. He is Savior:  “true from start to finish”. He will always be this promise in your life. He is Lord: “generous inside and out”. You can bring Him everything that has to do with your life today. When it comes to your life .. He is the Only One who really understands who you really are inside and out. He knows because He became everything in you in one moment on a cross. And for what He offers you today … it only takes a moment …

“The Word became flesh and blood, and moved into the neighborhood. We saw the glory with our own eyes, the one-of-a-kind glory, like Father, like Son. Generous inside and out, true from start to finish.” John 1:14 MSG

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
