The Lord is …

April 12, 2016

“The Lord is my Shepherd .. The Lord is my light and salvation .. The Lord is the defense of my life .. The Lord is my strength and my shield .. God is our refuge and strength. A very present help in trouble ..” Ps. 23, 27, 28, 46 NAS

The Lord is behind your life. He is the One who will guide you. He knows the path of your life with all it’s curves, missteps, corrections, smooth places , and disruptions. He is there to give you light to see .. to feel secure .. and to know that your life is gripped forever by Him. He’s your defender. His defense was a cross. His offense was to step into every broken and messed up area of life and exchange His life. Before your day begins, the Lord is your shield. How often do you begin a day and without thinking begin without any shield .. vulnerable to anything? And God? He is where you find refuge in life storms .. crisis .. tragedy .. uncertainty .. in abundance and in great need. But this God is “very present” in every area of your life .. every moment .. every aspect .. every turn .. and every battle. And there are battles. Jesus knows every battle in front of your life. He knows every struggle. He knows where the fears arise. He knows about feeling deserted .. abandoned .. uncertain .. confronted by overwhelming obstacles .. faced with unending expectations .. and sometimes unrelenting demands. The Lord is .. for you. It only takes a moment …

“God met me more than half way, he freed me from my anxious fears. Look at him, give him your warmest smile. Never hide your feelings from him. When I was desperate, I called out, and God got me out of a tight spot.” Psalm 34:5-7 MSG

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
