Way back to Way forward

April 27, 2016

“Now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require from you, but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways and love Him, and to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul..” Dt. 10:12 NASB

When Jesus told his disciples the he was “the way”, his words reached all the way back when God told the Israelites to “walk in all His ways”. Those same words from Jesus reach all the way into today .. into your life. Those same ways apply to wandering shepherds .. former slaves .. and grace freed men and women. The Lord hasn’t left you here to figure life out on your own. He knows all your desires. He long ago designed your life. His ways proceed from and point to His Son. The message of this world is you can pursue any way of life you want for yourself .. and God will help you. The message of Christ is that the life you once lived was broken .. unfixable .. and beyond repair. He started over with His life. That’s where He began and continues with your life. You wouldn’t have designed a cross. You wouldn’t have imagined that the only way to achieve His life was to lose your life. You could never have imagined a new life from the grave. And God’s ways now? They are filled and shaped by His Spirit who bears witness to Christ in everything pertaining to your life and God’s ways. The Lord knows the “way” of your life. You can’t always see what is next or around the corner. But you can trust in His words for your life. You can even wait while you walk into this day .. in Christ. It only takes a moment

Make me know Your ways, O LordTeach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For You are the God of my salvation; For You I wait all the day.” Ps. 25:4-5 NASB

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken

Kind of reminds me of a few verses in Isaiah 55. Thanks for sharing. God bless.
