Lifting ..

May 24, 2016

“And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to Myself.” John 12;32 NASB

Do you have a clear vision of Jesus as you walk into this day? The Cross is not an attractive image for most men and women. It is too simple and more often than not described as too violent and outdated. But to anyone who is carrying the load of this world .. layers of worry .. and the burden of doing everything right .. this Cross is an invitation to quit trying to make life work on your terms. The real work is “believing” and that message will be assaulted all day long. It means placing this Cross in every situation .. every relationship .. and every step of this day. The very opposite occurs. You will find yourself knowing more freedom and learning to imagine Christ making a difference through your life. You can’t do that for long where the Cross is a mere symbol. But where this Cross is central, you’ll find time for another’s well being. Jesus was lifted up 2000 years ago and He hasn’t stopped lifting today. It only takes a moment ..

“This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom you have sent.”  John 6:29 NASB

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
