Kindness at work ..

June 1, 2016

“This is what the Father wants: that anyone who sees the Son and trusts who he is and what he does and then aligns with him will enter real life, eternal life. My part is to put them on their feet alive and whole at the completion of time.” John 6:40 The Message

Everything begins to change when Jesus is the main character of your life. His plan is simple: to shape His life in you so that you are aligned for real life. There are places that you’ve managed for years .. maybe your whole life .. that will never be whole unless Jesus un-works your work with grace. It takes grace because anything not of His grace leaves scars and lacks wholeness. Some of those scars you’ve caused and some of them resulted from living in this sin-scarring world. So the Father has sent the Son to the farthest corners .. to the highest and lowest places ..  to the ordinary and darkest areas so that His kindness can lead you into real life. Jesus constructs with truth .. aligns with grace .. and breathes a God-filled freedom unknown without Him. God’s realigning work is all His idea. The cross of Christ becomes visibly the most intimate image of how far He has gone to make you whole. Everything He does reflects who He is. He’s got all the time in this world to work in your life. Your part is the trusting … and that only takes a moment .. and then another moment .. until trusting is your new nature. It only takes a moment …

“Now God has us where he wants us, with all the time in this world and the next to shower grace and kindness upon us in Christ Jesus. Saving is all his idea, and all his work.” Ephesians 2:7 The Message

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
