Who is this Jesus..?

June 14, 2016

“The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.” Philippians 4:9 New American Standard

Everyone has to settle in their mind who the person of Jesus is and the place he occupies in their life. He is:  The One who loved perfectly and permanently .. The One who is home .. The One who delights in everything you bring to him .. The One who refuses to give up on you .. The One who has truly earned for you what you can never earn for yourself .. The One who sees what you cannot see and knows what you cannot know and loves it when you simply trust Him going forward .. The One who has redeemed every day of your life and wraps it in a new life as a gift .. and The One who knows everything about you and is loving you at this moment. You’ve been called to pass it on .. this knowledge of Jesus .. this relationship founded upon a new life you received from Him .. this day-to-day walk with the One called Lord and Savior. What you pass on is deeply personal and reveals more of “you” than you realize. It reveals a story and path that Jesus has walked and is walking patiently in your life. Sometimes it seems like you never seem to advance beyond “go”. And then it happens: you sit across a table .. you intersect another life .. and you make yourself available for God to pour through. It isn’t about being profound or precise. It is precisely about being willing to share about what you have learned .. received .. heard .. and seen about this One named Jesus. Why? Because you want others to experience the reality of being loved .. accepted .. restored .. and made new in Christ. What is profound is that you are willing to freely share how you are learning to love the life that Christ is living in you. Your story isn’t perfect .. He is .. and He is going room by room through your life so that He has the whole run of the house. Who is He in your life? It begins with you being plainly honest … and it only takes a moment …

“We saw it, we heard it, and now we’re telling you so you can experience it along with us, this experience of communion with the Father and his Son, Jesus Christ.” 1 John 1:3 The Message

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
