Rule 62 …wait

July 6, 2016

“God the one and only – I’ll wait as long as he says. Everything I need comes from him, so why not? He’s solid rock under my feet, breathing room for my soul, An impregnable castle: I’m set for life.” Psalm 62:1-2 Message

Your life could not be any more secure than when you are trusting God. There is God, the Father and Creator. He formed everything about you. He knows every moment of your life. There is Jesus, God the Son, Crucified, Risen, Redeemer. The cross never fades. His promise to never forsake you is forever. His very life is holding you together at this moment. There is God, the Holy Spirit. He’s been sent by the Father and the Son. He never stops filling your life with grace, indefatigable love. He’s finishing everything the Son has done for you. He is the Spirit of Life .. your true life. So .. you aren’t waiting on a faceless God .. an idea .. a made up image in your mind. You’re waiting on the One who has claimed your life .. the good .. not so good .. and bad parts of you. He has the nail scars to prove it. He’s there in your suffering .. your loneliness .. your temptation .. your successes .. your failures .. your times of powerless brokenness .. and your moments when you are loved beyond description. He is the “same yesterday .. today .. and forever”. You’ll change .. but the Lord won’t ever change. The more you walk with Him .. the more like Him you become. In only takes a moment …

“My soul waits in silence for God only; From Him is my salvation. He only is my rock and my salvation, My stronghold; I shall not be greatly shaken.” Psalm 62:1-2 NASB

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
