Being loved that much …

May 10, 2017

“Long before he laid down earth’s foundations, he had us in mind, had settled on us as the focus of his love, to be made whole and holy by his love” Ephesians 1:4 Message

Can you let yourself be loved? Really loved? Made whole love? It”s what happens inside of you when you let Jesus have the whole “run of the house” What was once ugly in you or you thought was ugly about yourself begins to change. It’s already changed in the Father’s presence .. but the Lord knows the intimate balance of your life. He knows the very center of those areas where you’ve resisted and pushed back against the only love that can really change you. No other love presents itself with such generosity and promise. There is nothing hidden from Jesus where it concerns your life. He had already made a decision about you before you ever existed. Your actions didn’t persuade him. Your motives and intentions were never graded. Your resume .. the one that really counts .. has been handwritten by nail-scarred hands. That’s how much you are loved. The Lord is making your life whole. (Heaven secret: You’re already whole in Christ!) When you realize what He has done and is doing in your life .. you’ll find grace infused steel on the inside where you used to hold it together yourself. That’s what made you so irritable .. anxious .. tired .. fearful and susceptible to lies masquerading as truth and freedom. But now .. Jesus is at work. You’ll discover that “things” that once held sway no longer fill up that hole. Its being filled by something solid .. the love of Christ. The Holy Spirit is making sure you understand and teaching you how to live with that much love pouring into your life. You can step into this day knowing that Christ is loving you holy and whole. You’re the focus and in Christ you’ll find your focus. It only takes a moment …

“It is clear to us friends, that God not only loves you very much but also has put his hand on you for something special. When the Message we preached came to you, it wasn’t just words. Something happened in you. The Holy Spirit put steel in your convictions.” 1 Thessalonians 1:4-5 Message

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
